Adam Gyorgy

Adam Gyorgy is one of today’s leading classical pianists, celebrating an international career for over 15 years by now. He is a regular performer at New York City’s Carnegie Hall among other leading venues, his unique, elegant style on the piano sets him apart from his peers. He bravely incorporates his own, minimalistic compositions to his programs, while he follows the tradition of the greatest pianists with programming the most important classical works. As Adam says: “The most important thing for me is to love the repertoire I am performing. How could I expect my audience to love what I am doing if I am not in perfect harmony with it? Well needed to learn the classical repertoire, but why not only perform the pieces we truly love?”

This mentality, his genuine approach to music helped him to grow his own audience globally. He continues to tour around the world, delighting audiences in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Celine Goh

General Manager, Steinway Gallery Singapore & Steinway Boutique Manila

Celine Goh is the General Manager for Steinway & Sons business under C. Melchers Group, where she spearheads the luxury piano brand’s business development, operations, branding and marketing efforts.

Since she was appointed in 2011, Celine has been instrumental in the growth of Steinway & Sons’ presence in Singapore. Over the past ten years, Celine has nurtured and expanded the luxury piano brand’s business while continuing to push the boundaries of Steinway’s legacy. Under her dynamic leadership and strong business acumen, she was able to extend the brand’s presence to new territories in the Philippines and Brunei.

Frank Demeglio

Frank Demeglio is a classical music teacher, lecturer and writer. Having taught part-time at LASALLE since 2003, he joined the faculty in 2009. Of particular interest to Frank is the efficient technical approach to the keyboard that aligns with sound biomechanical principles, especially with respect to injury prevention and cure.

He studied piano at the University of Michigan and earned a Bachelor’s degree in performance. After graduating, he taught with Randy and Nancy Faber, authors of the best-selling Piano Adventures library of piano books. He returned to the University of Michigan for an MBA in marketing in 1992, and was hired by Steinway & Sons as their New York Institutional Sales Representative.

Frank’s performing career included recitals in Spain and Japan, where he recorded a special-release CD in honour of the 15th anniversary of the UNESCO chapter of Narita City, Japan.

Josh Wright

Billboard #1 artist Dr. Josh Wright has delighted audiences across the United States and in Europe. The Washington Post described him as a pianist possessing “rarer gifts – touch, intelligence and the ability to surprise.” He performed his debut recitals at Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall) and the Kennedy Center (Terrace Theater) in 2014. His self-titled album “Josh Wright” topped the Billboard Classical Traditional chart just three weeks after its release in April 2011. He also performed at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles as part of America’s Got Talent Season 9. He currently serves on the piano faculty at the University of Utah.

Josh earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan. He earned a Master of Music degree and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Utah. His principal teachers are Dr. Logan Skelton and Dr. Susan Duehlmeier. He has also studied privately with concert pianist, Sergei Babayan.

Josh is a listed Steinway Artist.

Lily Chiam

Lily Chiam, Musical Talent, Composer, Educator, Entrepreneur and Event Producer, brings passion, energy & excitement to all her projects. An accomplished Pianist, Lily has performed in Canada, United States, UK, China, Japan, India, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Qatar, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. She is a music composer of 4 albums, and the author of the highly effective EM Genius&Fun Fast-Track Toddlers Development Programs.

Lily is the regional representative of the South East Asia Directors of Music (SEADOM) and a Music Consultant to many music institutions. She has also served as an adjudicator for many international music festivals and is often invited by Corporate Firms as an Event Producer and Motivational Speaker. Currently, she is the Director and founder of Expression Music Academy in Brunei (3 branches: Kiulap, Airport Mall and Kuala Belait) and Expression Music Inc at Makati, the Philippines.

Lily enjoys poetry and writes a lot of poems and inspiration quotes on facebook and twitter.
Through her music, poetry and paint brushes, she found her freedom of expression.

Ory Shihor

Ory Shihor is an internationally acclaimed pianist, master teacher and expert in developing young gifted pianists to their fullest potential.

A graduate of Juilliard and Curtis, Mr. Shihor was the winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, the Washington International Piano Competition, and a prize winner at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.

A former dean and piano professor at the Colburn Conservatory, Mr. Shihor has conducted lectures and masterclasses at major conservatories, universities and festivals around the globe and has served as an adjudicator in significant international competitions.

His students have garnered impressive credentials and are first prize winners of prestigious international competitions such as the Naumburg and Hilton Head, and are regularly accepted to top conservatories and universities, such as Juilliard and Curtis.

After a 20-year teaching career in higher education, Mr. Shihor co-founded the Ory Shihor Institute (OSI) together with his wife, Maria Liu, where he continues to develop young gifted pianists and train a new generation of piano teachers using his proven teaching approach.

As a performing artist, Mr. Shihor is noted as “boldly individualistic” (New York Times) and as a pianist who has proven he is “not afraid to take risks” (The Washington Post).

Rickie Oui

Rickie Oui, master teacher, pianist and violinist. His training has its roots in the traditions of great teachers: Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gordon Jacobs, Arthur Benjamin, and Stewart Macpherson, Percy Buck, and Archille Rivarde who taught his father. In London, Rickie studied under distinguished musicians: Barbara Kerslake, John Brydson and Tanya Polunin. He also had master lessons with concert pianist Vlado Perlemuter, a pupil of Cortot and Ravel. Later, in Milan, Rickie studied with the legendary Hungarian teacher Ilonka Küszler-Deckers, a pupil of Dohnanyi, and later his assistant at the Budapest Conservatory of Music.

Rickie is a product of the great Hungarian piano school whose origins trace back to Franz Liszt (1811-1886), along with his breed of noble students who are a part of this celebrated and prestigious heritage. An elusive and a lost art threatening to go extinct, he is now a fervent advocate in preserving and spreading the true art of piano playing through seminars, workshops and master classes in the region and around Asia.

Steven Spooner

Steven Spooner is an American pianist, and currently Professor of Piano at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.

As a performing artist, Spooner has given solo recitals at such major venues as Carnegie Hall, Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht, the Salle Cortot in Paris, Budapest’s Great Hall of the Liszt Academy, Geneva’s Fête de la Musique and numerous other halls across Europe, Latin America, South America, Asia, and the United States.
Spooner has served as guest artist-in-residence at Paris Conservatory Summer Sessions and has been appointed to the artist faculty of many of the leading summer festivals such as the Colburn Music Academy, Amalfi Coast Music Festival, Musicfest Perugia, the International Institute for Young Musicians, the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Budapest, among others. He has just been appointed artistic director of the Chicago International Music Competition and Festival.

A dedicated and caring teacher of students from around the world, Spooner’s pupils have been named winners of multiple prizes at important international and national piano competitions and enjoy performing and teaching careers of their own.
